DisTran Sales Associates Inc. was established in the state of Maryland in 1986 by Chuck Barrick and his long time friend Phil Hickman. We progressed as a Small Business, Woman-owned Sub S Corporation with stock being owned 51% by Trudy Barrick - President. Phil later left the company to pursue other opportunities and has since retired.

Chuck Barrick assumed the position of Vice President of Sales & Marketing, and from his 32 years of experience in Engineering Standards at BGE, our local utility, he began canvassing the Mid Atlantic Region from New Jersey down through the Carolinas and West Virginia.

The manufacturers that were represented at that time were Timco Instruments, VON Corp.,Speed Systems, Sefcor Connectors, Mirachem Products and others. Some of those lines are still here today, and others that are not are recommended in training classes because of their quality.

Currently we have Nancy Weber as President, and Chuck Barrick still maintains Vice President of Sales & Marketing. Additionally we have the excellent services of Steve Didier - with over 20 years of experience in the Fault Locating field and Instrument Repair. We also have Mike Cavanaugh - with 10 years of experience in Power Monitoring Devices.

We here at DisTran Sales Associates Inc. are connected to our industry of Utilities and Electrical Contractors to bring the latest equipment, technology, and training to you, the customer and friend.

We grew slowly with the building blocks of quality, knowledge, and the experience of many years to bring the best to you and your company. Please share all of this with us as we go forward into the future and just maybe bring something you need to your door.
